S+D’s absolutely gorgeous, intimate and romantic wedding at the iconic Claridges Hotel in London

You guys I can’t play down how much I absolutely adore Claridges weddings. I don’t use the word iconic lightly. Lots of posh London hotels have a way of treating us non-millionaires as complete paupers, but Claridges has a way of making everyone feel incredibly special, including wedding photographers!

So it was an absolute delight and honour to photograph S+D’s Claridges wedding in London.

D started the day having a few drinks at another of my favourite hotels in London – The Connaught, where I photographed the wonderful wedding of Saora and Ben a couple of years ago. Then he headed down to wait for S in the quite incredible French Ballroom at Claridges. If only walls could talk. I bet that room has seen some amazing things over the decades.

Did you know that the first time in its history that Claridges had to close its doors was in the pandemic. Not even during the world wars. Crazy.

Anyway, back to the positivity. What a day this was. So many smiles, some happy tears, some incredible food and some absolutely wonderful iconic moments of love and happiness.
