Cotswolds weddings at Elmore Court
Eliza and Charlie’s wedding in the Cotswolds at Elmore Court
It had been a few years since I’d been at Elmore Court in the Cotswolds – the last time was for Becca and Charlie’s wedding and I had loved it! And here I was back to capture Eliza and Charlie’s wedding there a few years older and wiser (or something like that). Elmore Court is easily one of my favourite venues in the UK – incredibly lovely staff, they always look after me well, beautiful rooms with beautiful light for the ‘getting ready’ phase of the day. A gorgeous ceremony room and dining room and a super cool dancefloor. Oh and grounds which offer such variety for couple portraits. I’m really not sure what more you could want from a Cotswolds wedding venue!
Eliza and Charlie’s love for each other is just inspirational. They had both spent time growing up in the UK, but now lived in New York. They came back to the UK with all their friends and family from stateside and this was actually more of a destination wedding as I think the vast majority of the guests had flown in as well as obviously Eliza and Charlie themselves. I joined them for their rehearsal dinner the night before which was just as emotional as the wedding day itself.
My favourite set of moments from the wedding day was when Eliza and Charlie were just too emotional to get their words out during the ceremony. Within seconds they’d swing from laughing to crying, but they did get the words out and it was beautiful and a privilege to capture for them and their families.
Beautiful people, beautiful venue, beautiful light, beautiful emotions. Congratulations Eliza and Charlie and thanks for having me there. Great to work with my great friends Ray and Sarah at Ray McShane Films too!
