Lancashire Marquee Wedding
Megan and Patrick’s church and marquee wedding in Lancashire
I love, love, love when people have weddings at home in marquees. There’s just something so real and personal about them. Megan and Patrick’s reception was in the garden of Megan’s parents home in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. A home that had been Megan’s grandparents, and views that held so many memories. I remember Megan telling me in her initial enquiry or an early chat we had that she didn’t feel like there would be many options for photos… I said leave it to me! Turns out we were spoilt with options as the views were just spectacular.
Megan got ready at home, with Patrick just around the corner with his groomsmen. They then headed to the local church for their ceremony, with a family member who is a retired bishop coming out of retirement just for them. He was a little rusty but it just added to the character of the ceremony, and I think helped calm Megan and Patrick’s nerves too!
Afterwards they headed back home to the marquee but we stopped at the top of the hill first for some quick portraits – rain was threatening but it never came! They’d had a raised terrace built onto the back of the marquee and one of my favourite moments was all their guests packed on that terrace waiting for their arrival.
Be prepared for LOTS of beaming smiles in the collection below!
