Kieran and Louise’s wedding at Le Filigare

Le Filigare is my favourite venue I’ve ever worked at. I don’t know why specifically. It just has something special. Kieran and Louise’s wedding was my third visit and yet again it had that Le Filigare soul about it. Tuscan special sauce. Kieran and Louise found one of my photos on Instagram where I’d tagged Le Filigare as the location, and we met up soon after in Manchester to chat about them having me as their photographer while Kieran was visiting his family.

So yeah, I’ve photographed two other weddings at Le Filigare – Susan and Joe, and Helen and Baz – but nothing can prepare me or my hire cars for the drive up to Le Filigare which I forget about every time! This was my first time not staying at Le Filigare itself, but I stayed just ‘next door’ at Mulino dell’Argenna which I can highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere really nice and authentic to stay while in Tuscany – I was made so welcome there!

I really, really don’t know how I get so lucky with my couples. Yet again I was made to feel like an old friend from the moment I arrived until the moment I left by these two amazing souls. I was with Kieran and Louise at Le Filigare for two days – they had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony on the first day and the wedding the day after. They had their ceremony on the top of the hill, and I’d be surprised if there’s a more Tuscan view at any venue anywhere in Tuscany! Then drinks around the pool, portraits in the vineyards, dinner on the lawn and dancing under the stars. I mean come on, does it get any more fairytale than that? Did I mention I love this venue.

It was just moment packed and marvellous from start to finish and I loved every second!
