Shropshire Marquee Wedding with a Church Ceremony
Sara and Clem’s church and marquee wedding in Shropshire
Sara had been really worried about the weather in the build up to her and Clem’s wedding… And when I arrived at the house in the morning, her dad was already in the marquee trying to make sure the torrential rain didn’t get in! Considering this was a summer wedding, the weather really hadn’t read the script! So it meant that some of their plans had to change, but I always tell everyone who asks me “what will happen if it rains?!” that the day will still happen, it’ll still be extra special and filled with joyous moments and beautiful memories. I’m always right about that by the way – and Sara and Clem’s wedding, despite the rain, was incredible. From the really atmospheric church ceremony with an amazing gospel choir, to the walk through the gardens of one of their friends and neighbours houses, the group photos on the steps of the hall which has been in their family for generations, heartfelt speeches and then the sunset they’d dreamed of. We even managed to nip and visit their dog Margot for a few portraits which I know meant the world to them and I’m sure meant even more to Margot.
Rain doesn’t spoil weddings. Fact. Proof below.
