Shoreditch London wedding photographer Ace Hotel
Seth and Laura’s transatlantic London wedding at Ace Hotel Shoreditch
Laura and Seth are good friends of Paula and Jaemie whose amazing wedding I was part of at Broughton Hall a few years ago. When Seth and Laura contacted me hoping that I would be able to be their wedding photographer at Ace Hotel in London and saying some really nice things, I was so flattered but really sad to tell them I was already booked… But it turned out I was wrong! I was actually available and I was so happy that by the time I realised and frantically emailed them back, they hadn’t already found another photographer. I should probably have checked my actual diary rather than relying on my usually uber-precise memory!
Anyway, it all worked out and I was able to be at their Ace Hotel wedding in Shoreditch and it was SUCH an incredible day for two wonderful people and all their family and friends. Seth and Laura actually live in LA, California (Seth is a brit, Laura is from the States) and they came back to London for their wedding along with Laura’s closest friends and family from America. Despite being in London the day had a very intimate feel to it and lots of great moments for me to capture. Especially the collapse of the flower arch at the end of the ceremony which everyone – especially Laura – really enjoyed and definitely broke the ice after a very emotional service led by one of Laura and Seth’s good friends.
Ace Hotel is such a great venue. I love it! I’ve stayed here before and couldn’t wait to see what it was like as a wedding venue – turns out it’s properly amazing! Super cool London views for the ceremony and party and really private too – it doesn’t feel like you’re in a hotel at all. After the ceremony we headed down to the streets to explore Shoreditch to make some unique wedding portraits before heading back up for great food, great speeches and crazy dancing!
It was such a huge pleasure to capture Laura and Seth’s wedding at Ace Hotel Shoreditch, in London. Here are some of my favourite moments from their day…
