An amazing Hedsor Indian wedding
N+P’s summer Hindu wedding at Hedsor House
Venue: Hedsor
Planner: Knots and Nuptials (Nalini)
I love this couple and I loved this wedding. There’s a running theme with my weddings over the years that I just get the most amazing couples and families to work with. I remember first speaking to Nikki and within a minute or two I just knew that I had to be her and Piotr’s wedding photographer, for both our sakes!
The way Nikki spoke to me about their wedding, and their families, and how important it was to her to have every single moment captured… these iconic moments are my passion as you know… and to add the absolutely tremendous backdrop for these moments of Hedsor House… perfection!
Indian Wedding Planner Knots and Nuptials
And let me talk to you as well about the brilliant Nalini of Knots and Nuptials who was N+P’s planner for this amazing Hedsor Indian wedding… I’m a photographer who is very clear about the way that I work to be able to create the kinds of photos I do, and to do it in a way that I think best suits the wedding and the moments themselves. I like to drift around and capture what happens as naturally as possible without applying too much structure because I think unstructured reality is gold.
Anyway, not many planners get that approach because they like some structure. But Nalini had so much respect for me and what I brought to the team for this wedding, and she was an absolute joy to work alongside and she’s a truly amazing character too! I can’t wait to work with you and your team again Nalini, you really did give N+P the perfect day for their Hedsor Indian wedding and that made it so easy and enjoyable for me to photograph.
Luxury Wedding Venue Hedsor House
I’ve been lucky enough to photograph a handful of weddings at the gorgeous Hedsor over the years, and it’s no surprise why it’s regularly named as one of the best luxury wedding venues in the UK, and why they also often host destination weddings for overseas couples.
It has the perfect blend of being a grand, quintessentially English country house and being very intimate and homely. The staff are wonderfully friendly and the interiors are a dream.
My first Hedsor wedding was Mona and Dipesh‘s Hedsor Indian wedding way back in 2017, and then I’ve been back for Priyanka and Shyam’s Indian wedding, Maggie and Mike‘s traditional wedding with Chinese tea ceremony and now Nikki and Piotr’s Hindu wedding.
The iconic moments of this Hedsor Indian wedding
Anyway back to the wedding. I started by bouncing between Nikki getting ready in perfect peace and quiet, staying as relaxed as possible before the ceremony, and Piotr surrounded by the wonderful chaos of their families, everyone keeping each other’s spirits high. Then it was time for the Hindu ceremony in the Centre Hall.
This room is so special anyway, but N+P had added a string quartet on the balcony playing strings versions of famous songs – string quartets add the most amazing atmosphere anyway but the intimacy of the Centre Hall at Hedsor combined with the quietness of the ceremony just made it extra special.
Afterwards we explored the grounds of Hedsor in the blazing sunshine, before heading back into The Boudoir at Hedsor for some group photos (it was too hot outside really, and N+P really wanted to use The Boudoir for their groups because they love the Hedsor interiors so much. Then it was time for The Ballroom and some really emotional and hearfelt speeches before dinner.
And there was still time for an outfit change, some portraits in the sunken hidden garden and back into the Centre Hall for the first dance and reception.
This was such a beautiful day for N+P and their families, and such a pleasure for me to be part of it and to immortalise these moments for them. They’ve already had their 300 page ARJ Book album made combining this and all their other wedding events around the world from their wedding year!
I hope you enjoy these few of my favourites from N+P’s amazing Hedsor Indian wedding!
